ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ UK ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਮਹਿਲਾ MP ਹੋਈ ਨਤਮਸਤਕ, ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ Preet Kaur Gill ਨੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਸਥਿਤ Sri Harmandir Sahib ਵਿਖੇ ਨਤਮਸਤਕ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਅਸ਼ੀਰਵਾਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰੋਪਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਦਗਾਰੀ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁੱਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਆਤਮਿਕ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। The UK’s first Sikh woman Member of Parliament, Preet Kaur Gill, paid her respects at Sri Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar.
