ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ–ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਟਰੇਡ ਡੀਲ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ–ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਟਰੇਡ ਡੀਲ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਹੋਈ। ਚਰਚਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਡੀਲ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵ ਪਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਵਿਧਾਇਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਟਰੇਡ ਡੀਲ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਸੈਕਟਰ ‘ਤੇ ਨਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਅਸਰ ਪੈ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਹਿਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦਿਆਂ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਮਸਲਾ ਹੁਣ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਵੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। The Punjab Legislative Assembly passed a resolution against the India–US trade deal after a detailed discussion.
